The 2025 US Open has arrived! Yes, already, with the reimagined Mixed Doubles Championship final taking place on Wednesday. The singles will start earlier than ever as well, with a Sunday start at the US Open for the first time.

At the season’s final Grand Slam, will world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka win her first major title of the season and repeat in New York? Will American women go four-for-four in reaching Grand Slam finals this season? With UTR Sports INSIGHTS, let’s break down the 2025 US Open women’s singles draw.

2025 US Open women’s singles draw favorites

Pegula and Sabalenka smile with their 2024 US Open trophies

1) Aryna Sabalenka (UTR Rating 12.93)

Sabalenka reached the first two major finals of the season but lost both championship matches in three sets to Americans–Madison Keys in Australia and Coco Gauff in Paris. Then, at Wimbledon, American Amanda Anisimova shut down her final sprint in the semifinals.

INSIGHTS gives Sabalenka a 15% chance of winning back-to-back titles in Queens. Sabalenka is vying for her fourth major championship, all of which have come on hard courts (also 2023, 2024 Australian Open). She and American Jessica Pegula could meet each other in the semifinals in what would be a rematch of the 2024 US Open final.

Iga Swiatek will go for her second US Open title in NY

2) Iga Swiatek (UTR Rating 12.94)

Talk about being on a run. Swiatek won her first Wimbledon title last month, which she backed up with her first Cincinnati Open title on Monday. Two days later in New York, she and Casper Ruud, “Rafa’s kids,” as Swiatek called the team, reached the final of the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship.

INSIGHTS likes her chances of winning her second US Open title (also 2022), giving her 13% odds to be smiling three Sundays from now.

Swiatek also could have a Grand Slam final rematch in New York. She dismissed Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the Wimbledon final, and the two are seeded to meet again in the US Open quarterfinals.

3) Coco Gauff (UTR Rating 12.98)

Another year, another coaching change for Coco Gauff, who won Roland Garros just two months ago. Gauff recently shook up her team again, letting go of coach Matt Daly and hiring Gavin MacMillan, a biomechanics specialist who had previously worked with Sabalenka.

Gauff is looking to jumpstart her 2025. After winning her second major title in Paris, she’s gone 4-4 and struggled with double faults, which have troubled her in the past. Against Danielle Collins in Montreal, Gauff hit 23 double faults but still won the match

Gauff has the highest UTR Rating of any woman in the field, and INSIGHTS gives her the best odds of bringing home another US Open title at 18%.

5) Mirra Andreeva (UTR Rating 12.76)

Is the 2025 US Open where Andreeva, the 18-year-old phenom from Russia, sees the final weekend of a Grand Slam? INSIGHTS pegs the teenager as a 7% favorite to bring home her maiden major championship title. Andreeva made the quarterfinals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

12) Elina Svitolina (12.69): 4%

Emma Raducanu (12.66): 3%

4) Jessica Pegula (12.60): 3%

  • Last year’s finalist could meet Andreeva in the quarterfinals
