The UTR Rating is the world’s most accurate tennis rating system. All players are rated on the same 1.00-16.50 point global scale based on daily match results. Equipped with over a decade of expertise, UTR Sports has launched the UTR Pickleball Rating (UTR-P Rating). The UTR-P Rating is for every pickleball player worldwide, from novices to pro players and everyone in between.

Mark Leschly
Mark Leschly is Chairman, CEO, and Founder of UTR Sports. Mark is the Founder and Managing Partner of Iconica Partners, a principal firm investing at the interface of sports, media and technology, and the Managing Partner of Rho Capital Partners, a venture capital and growth equity firm with over $2.5B under management. Mark was a co-founder of Professional Fighter League (PFL) and a founding investment partners of Major League Soccer team Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), and an investor in several sports teams and leagues. Previously, Mark was the President of Jennifer Lopez enterprises, CEO of Anacor, acquired by Pfizer in 2016; CEO of Senomyx, acquired by Firmenich in 2018; a General Partner at Healthcare Ventures, a life sciences venture capital firm; and a strategic management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Mark is a former ATP professional tennis player previously selected to the Danish Davis Cup team; former #1 player and Captain of Harvard tennis; Chair of Harvard Men’s Tennis; and President of Leschly Tennis Foundation in Denmark.Mark received an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. with honors from Harvard University.
Jeff Blackburn
Jeff Blackburn is Senior Vice President of Global Media Entertainment for Amazon.com, managing one of the company’s fastest growing segments – the consolidated media group which encompasses Prime Video, Amazon Studios, Amazon Music, Wondery, Audible, Twitch, and Amazon Games. He previously was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Business Development where he led Amazon’s worldwide Advertising, Digital Video and Music businesses, as well as all Corporate Development/MA activities. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Mr. Blackburn held various positions with Morgan Stanley, Interpublic Group/Marketing Corporation of America, and Bridgewater Associates. He also served as an Associate for Deutsche Bank Technology Group, focusing on Internet software, eCommerce and Media companies.
Ken Hao
Ken Hao is a Managing Partner at Silver Lake, a global private equity investor in technology. Ken was a member of original team that started Silver Lake in 1999 and has led large-scale investments in a broad range of tech sectors including e-commerce, electronics, enterprise software and semiconductors. Mr. Hao was a former tennis player at Harvard College and serves on the Executive Council and Board of Overseers at UCSF Health.
Jan Leschly
Jan Leschly is a former Top 10 ATP player and US Open semifinalist. After his playing career, Mr. Leschly served as CEO of SmithKline Beecham and President and COO of Squibb Corporation. Mr. Leschly has been a Director at Maersk, American Express and Viacom, and he is a past Chairman of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
John Thornton
John Thornton is professor and director of global leadership at Tsinghua University, Executive Chairman at Barrick Gold, and the Chairman of Redbird Capital. He is a former President of Goldman Sachs, past Chairman of the Board at the Brookings Institution and a former tennis player at Harvard University.
Kelly Forese
Kelly Forese is President of UTR Sports, leading the company’s growth, technology, and operations to expand reach across tennis and pickleball. Since joining in 2020, she has driven initiatives to scale the platform worldwide. Kelly has spent her career as an entrepreneur and operating executive in the software technology sector, with expertise in consumer internet, e-commerce, and SaaS business models. In 2008, after scaling IGN Entertainment, MySpace, and Fox Interactive Media, she founded and served as Chairperson and CEO of Registria, a leading SaaS solution enabling brands to build and nurture direct customer relationships through product registration and ownership experiences. Following the sale of Registria, Kelly served as CEO, COO, and board member for startups, including Momentous, a premium sports nutrition company, and as a board member of Cardinal Glass Industries, the largest residential glass manufacturer in North America. Kelly holds an MBA and a Master’s in Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California, San Diego.

UTR Pro Tennis Tour

UTR Sports is the owner and organizing body of the UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT), with responsibility for its Rules and Regulations, Code of Conduct, Tournament Format and related streaming and commercial rights. We partner with Federations and organizers to bring the tournaments to life in order to create a development tour to support players. With fewer events and matches and substantially reduced prize money, aspiring pros are increasingly struggling in pursuit of their dreams. The PTT provides additive and complimentary events to help emerging players and the sport broadly.
