UTR Sports is excited to announce the expansion of its UTR Pro Tennis Tour team as it provides more opportunities for pro tennis players globally. The following individuals bring a wealth of tennis experience and will play key roles in the ambitious expansion of the PTT in 2025 and beyond.
"We're really excited to add this group of excellent individuals to the PTT player relations team," said UTR Sports Director of Player Relations James McKie. "They have experienced the importance of playing PTT events for development and are now working to help current and future players."
Giles Hussey: Manager, Player Relations
Hussey, from England, is currently ranked No. 404 in the ATP Rankings and has won 15 ITF singles and doubles titles. Competing for the University of Tennessee in 2021, he beat eventual US Open semifinalist Ben Shelton, helping the Volunteers win the SEC Tournament Championship match.
Hussey will focus on European PTT player relations. “I am excited to connect and support players across the world on their journey,” he said.
Pat Harper: Manager, Player Relations
Harper hails from Brisbane, Australia, and won an ATP Challenger Tour doubles title earlier this month. He was a three-time all-American in doubles in college and won the 2021 NCAA doubles title with fellow Australian Adam Walton while competing for the University of Tennessee.
Harper will focus on player relations in Australia and Europe. “UTR Sports is growing the game around the world, and I look forward to building on that success,” he said.
Shunsuke Mitsui: Manager, Player Relations
Mitsui, of Japan, is currently attending the University of Tennessee and ranked No. 10 in the country in singles. He will focus on PTT player relations throughout the U.S. and Asia.
“I am looking forward to using my connections in tennis over the last 15 years to grow PTT throughout the U.S. and Asia,” said Mitsui, a three-time PTT champion. “I know firsthand how valuable these tournaments are for players to improve their games and chase their dreams.”
Tenika McGiffin: Manager, Player Relations
McGiffin is also from Brisbane and played collegiate tennis at the University of Tennessee, where she earned first team All-SEC honors. McGiffin, currently ranked No. 421 in the WTA Doubles Rankings, has experienced the benefits of PTT events and is enthusiastic about helping other players excel their careers.
“I am excited to join the UTR Sports Team and contribute to the continued growth and development of one of the premier tennis platforms for athletes,” she said.
Parsa Nemati
Nemati, who frequently breaks news on social media about college tennis and college tennis recruiting, is excited to continue working with the player relations team and use his extensive network to grow the PTT.
“UTR Sports is changing the sport of tennis and providing countless players opportunities that exist nowhere else. I am very excited about the major overall growth at UTR Sports.” Nemati said.
