UTR Sports Announces New $500,000 Program To Deepen Financial Support of Pro Tennis Players

New Program Features Year-Long Race, Equal Money For Men & Women

Palo Alto, Calif. (November 7, 2024) UTR Sports, creator of the world-class tournament management software and the world’s most accurate tennis rating system, is thrilled to debut a new $500,000 Tour Card program for its UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT).

The Tour Card program will begin January 1, 2025 to further support players competing on the PTT, which over the past four years has expanded the pathway to the top of professional tennis with $25K prize money events. The PTT provides guaranteed matches in a format found nowhere else on the professional tennis landscape.

The Tour Card program will feature three tiers of benefits and reward players for both their commitment and performance. A new exciting year-long points race will motivate players to battle throughout the year while offering fans everywhere a new way to engage with the PTT. All tournaments globally will be streamed live and on-demand on Amazon Prime Video.

The Tour Card program is part of a staggering $11 million investment in 2025 in pro tennis that UTR Sports announced last month as part of its expanded tour schedule.

“With this $500,000 program, UTR Sports is elevating pro tennis again and showing our commitment globally,” said Mark Leschly, CEO and Chairman of UTR Sports. “As the long-time technology leader in tennis, UTR Sports is deeply committed to pro tennis and determined to do everything we can to strengthen this developmental pathway for men and women everywhere. We’re extremely excited to help more players realize their dreams.”

Players have already voiced their enthusiasm for the Tour Card, including Adam Walton, a two-time PTT champion who’s currently ranked No. 92 on the ATP Tour and recently competed at the 2024 US Open.

"The PTT Tour Card will be a game-changer for player development,” Walton said. “It’ll push players to keep improving, knowing there’s real financial support behind them every step of the way."

How will it work? In the first tier, upon completing one PTT event, players will receive their Tour Card. Completion of a second event will unlock hundreds of dollars in exclusive PTT benefits, including free UTR Sports apparel and free access to advanced analytics to help players’ games, with additional perks and benefits.

In the second tier, the first 100 players from each gender to complete four PTT events will be rewarded $750 in bonus.

In the third tier, $300,000 will be awarded through the year-long points race. All players with a Tour Card are eligible for the race, and the top 100 players in each gender will earn additional money based on their best eight events at the end of 2025. First-place finishers will receive $10,000.

“The PTT Tour Card is a great way for up-and-coming players to improve their match skills,” said Maya Joint, who plays at the University of Texas and reached the second round at the 2024 US Open. “Playing matches against similar UTRs and above will make their games skyrocket!”
