Wimbledon marked a lot of firsts for Swiatek. It’s her first title at the All-England Club (and sixth major overall) and she’s the first Polish player to win Wimbledon. It’s also the first double bagel Grand Slam final since 1988 (when Steffi Graff defeated Natasha Zvereva at Roland Garros) and first double-bagel at Wimbledon in the Open Era (the only other time it has happened was back in 1911). Fittingly, Swiatek is now 6-0 in Grand Slam finals.
