June 2025
Roland Garros just wrapped up in Paris with the best of the best putting on epic performances throughout the fortnight. Who’s leading the rankings by UTR Rating in June as the tours head into the grass-court season?
Top 10 Women’s Tennis Players by UTR Rating - June 2025
No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka (UTR 13.24)
A finalist in both Madrid and Paris, three-time Grand Slam champion Sabalenka had a strong showing on clay this year.
No. 2 Coco Gauff (UTR 12.96)
Gauff was a favorite in Paris after reaching the finals of both Madrid and Rome in May. She stormed back to defeat Sabalenka in the Roland Garros final to secure her second Grand Slam title.
No. 3 Iga Swiatek (UTR 12.96)
Swiatek wasn't her usual dominant self this clay-court season. Seeded No. 5 in Paris, the four-time Roland Garros champion lost in the semifinals to Sabalenka.

No. 4 Mirra Andreeva (UTR 12.93)
The teenager was looking to back up her semifinal run in Paris from last year, but was stopped short by wild card Lois Boisson.
No. 5 Madison Keys (UTR 12.90)
Still riding high from her maiden Grand Slam win in Melbourne, Keys held her own on clay this season in reaching the quarterfinals in Paris (losing to eventual champion Gauff).
No. 6 Ekaterina Alexandrova (UTR 12.89)
The 30-year-old was an underdog in Paris as the No. 20 seed, despite her high UTR Rating. She'd reach the quarterfinals, also losing to Gauff.

No. 7 Zheng Qinwen (UTR 12.86)
After a win over Sabalenka in Rome, Zheng couldn't repeat the feat, falling to the Belarusian in the Roland Garros quarterfinals.
No. 8 Elina Svitolina (UTR 12.86)
The Ukrainian won her first title as a mom last month in Rouen and went 8-2 in May ahead of Roland Garros, where she enjoyed a run to the quarterfinals.

No. 9 Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.76)
The Kazakh reached the fourth round in Paris and will be a favorite at Wimbledon, having won the title in 2022.
No. 10 Jasmine Paolini (UTR 12.75)
Paolini had an unforgettable month of May as the winner of both the singles and doubles titles at her home event in Rome.

May 2025
The WTA Tour shifted over to the clay-court season this month with tournaments in Charleston and across Europe. Most notably, the WTA 1000 in Madrid is ongoing this week. Here's who stands inside the Top 10 going into May, which will include the start of Roland Garros.
Top 10 Women’s Tennis Players by UTR Rating - May 2025
No. 1. Aryna Sabalenka (UTR 13.16)
Arena Sabalenka holds onto her No. 1 spot for another month after a finalist finish in Stuttgart. The 26-year-old also holds a sizable lead over the rest of the field in the WTA rankings.
No. 2 Iga Swiatek (UTR 13.09)
Iga Swiatek is back on her favorite surface during the clay-court swing as she heads into Roland Garros, where she’s won four of her five Grand Slams.

No. 3 Mirra Andreeva (12.98)
Teen sensation Mirra Andreeva moves up a spot as she transitions from winning back-to-back WTA 1000 titles in February (Dubai) and March (Indian Wells).
No. 4 Coco Gauff (UTR 12.96)
The American is into the Madrid final after a resounding 6-1, 6-1 win over clay-court queen Swiatek.

No. 5 Madison Keys (UTR 12.90)
Madison Keys is ranked the same by UTR Rating and on the WTA Tour this month.
No. 6 Ekaterina Alexandrova (12.90)
Ekaterina Alexandrova enters our Top 10 for the first time this year after reaching the semifinals in Charleston and Stuttgart with wins over Zheng Qinwen, Jessica Pegula, and Andreeva.
No. 7 Elina Svitolina (UTR 12.89)
Elina Svitolina holds strong at No. 7 for two months in a row. The 30-year-old won her first title as a mom by defeating Olga Danilovic in the final of the WTA 250 in Rouen, France.

No. 8 Zheng Qinwen (UTR 12.80)
Olympic gold medalist Zheng Qinwen drops two spots this month from No. 6. She reached the quarterfinals in Charleston but dropped an early contest in Madrid.
No. 8 Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.78)
Elena Rybakina moves down one spot to No. 9 after playing just two matches in April, defeating Bianca Andreescu in Madrid before losing to Svitolina.
No. 10 Jessica Pegula (UTR 12.75)
Jessica Pegula is once again rounding out the month’s Top 10 ranking list. The America won the crown in Charleston for her first title on clay at the age of 31.
April 2025
April was a busy month on the pro tours with WTA 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami. Who is going into April in the Top 10, based on UTR Rating?
Top 10 Women’s Tennis Players by UTR Rating - April 2025
No. 1. Aryna Sabalenka (UTR 13.11)
Aryna Sabalenka had a nearly perfect month of March, reaching the final in Indian Wells and winning the crown in Miami. The trophy is Sabalenka’s second of 2025, having won in Brisbane before finishing as runner-up at the Australian Open.
No. 2 Iga Swiatek (UTR 13.09)
Given Iga Swiatek has won the Sunshine Double before, this month wasn’t her absolute best but she still reached the semifinals in Indian Wells and quarterfinals in Miami (falling to newcomer Alexandra Eala).
No. 3 Coco Gauff (UTR 12.96)
Coco Gauff holds firm to her No. 3 spot even though she only reached the round of 16 at both WTA 1000 events in March.
No. 4 Mirra Andreeva (12.93)
The teenager moves up to No. 4 after a stellar month saw her win Indian Wells with victories over Sabalenka, Swiatek, Elina Svitolina, and Elena Rybakina. She had her own version of the Sunshine Double by capturing the Miami doubles title alongside Diana Shnaider.

No. 5 Madison Keys (UTR 12.89)
Australian Open champion Madison Keys had a strong showing in the desert, losing to Sabalenka in the BNP Paribas Open semifinals. She also lost to Filipino teenager Eala in Miami.
No. 6 Zheng Qinwen (UTR 12.84)
Zheng Qinwen falls two spots to No. 6 this month after two quarterfinal runs in Indian Wells and Miami saw her only defeat one seeded opponent (Marta Kostyuk).
No. 7 Elina Svitolina (UTR 12.80)
Elina Svitolina enters the Top 10 in March after picking up wins over Danielle Collins and Jessica Pegula in Indian Wells.
No. 8 Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.79)
At No. 8, Elena Rybakina went just 2-2 this month, losing to Andreeva in the desert and suffering a shocking upset at the hands of American Ashlyn Krueger in Miami.
No. 9 Belinda Bencic (12.75)
Coming in at No. 9, new mom Belinda Bencic is also making her Top 10 debut this year. The Swiss 28-year-old took out seeds Amanda Anisimova, Shnaider, and Gauff in California.
No. 10 Jessica Pegula (UTR 12.73)
Rounding out the Top 10 is Pegula, a finalist in Miami and the woman who finally put an end to Eala’s dream run (in the semifinals).
March 2025

An Indian Wells finalist in 2023, Aryna Sablenaka is the highest-rated woman in the world for the second month in a row.
No. 2 Iga Swiatek (UTR 12.98)
Iga Swiatek is the defending champion in Indian Wells as she seeks her first title of 2025.
No. 3 Coco Gauff (UTR 12.97)
The American is hoping to get her first win since the Australian Open, but she'll be a huge favorite in front of a home crowd in Indian Wells.
No. 4 Zheng Qinwen (UTR 12.90)
Qinwen Zheng has remarkably only played the BNP Paribas Open twice before, with a 1-2 overall record.
No. 5 Mirra Andreeva (12.83)
After not being in the Top 10 by UTR rankings in January, 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva skyrockets to No. 5 after reaching the final in Dubai.
No. 6 Madison Keys (UTR 12.80)
The 2025 Australian Open champion will be swinging freely on the hard courts of California.
No. 7 Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.80)
As the 2023 Indian Wells winner, Elena Rybakina knows what she'll need to do to win again.
No. 8 Naomi Osaka (12.79)
A resurgent Naomi Osaka has fans crazed to see more of her.
No. 9 Paula Badosa (UTR 12.76)
Paula Badosa has played the most events out of anyone in the Top 10 since reaching the semifinals in Melbourne.
No. 10 Jessica Pegula (UTR 12.75)
With so many Americans in the Top 10, it's hard to choose a favorite, but the Indian Wells crowds will get behind Jessica Pegula.

Top 10 Women’s Tennis Players by UTR Rating - February 2025
No. 1. Aryna Sabalenka (UTR 13.12)
Despite losing to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final, Sabalenka is entrenched as the world’s No. 1 best female tennis player by UTR Rating. Also No. 1 in the WTA rankings, the three-time Grand Slam champion is the only player in this list with a UTR Rating above 13.
No. 2 Iga Swiatek (UTR 12.95)
Just behind Sabalenka, Swiatek fell in the Australian Open semifinals to Keys in a third-set tiebreak. The Pole began the year at No. 1, though still below a 13 UTR.

No. 3 Coco Gauff (UTR 12.94)
The American ended her 2024 season with the WTA Finals trophy and started 2025 with the United Cup title, but lost in the quarterfinals in Melbourne.

No. 4 Zheng Qinwen (UTR 12.91)
The Olympic gold medalist tumbled out in the second round of the year’s first major.
No. 5 Paula Badosa (UTR 12.85)
The 27-year-old reached her first Grand Slam semifinal in Australia.
No. 6 Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.81)
The 2022 Wimbledon winner was one of four Top-10 seeds to lose to Keys in the Australian Open.

No. 7 Jessica Pegula (UTR 12.81)
Jessica Pegula kicked off her season with a final in Adelaide (losing to Keys) and lost a surprising third-round bout with Olga Danilovic.
No. 8 Madison Keys (UTR 12.80)

After starting the year at No. 9 by UTR, Keys solidifies her place in the Top 10 UTR Rankings after her maiden Grand Slam victory in Melbourne. The 29-year-old took out a slew of seeds, including Elena Svitolina, Danielle Collins, Rybakina, Swiatek, and Sabalenka.

No. 9 Karolina Muchova (12.79)
The Czech has managed to hold onto a place within the Top 10 rankings by UTR Rating even though she bowed out early in Melbourne.
No. 10 Naomi Osaka (12.76)
Despite having to retire from her first two events of the season, a resurgent Osaka showed some of her best tennis, reaching the final in Auckland and the third round in Melbourne.

Who dropped out of the Top 10 by UTR Ratings this month? Mirra Andreeva (UTR 12.72) and Emma Navarro (12.50).
