It may feel like Roland Garros just wrapped up moments ago, especially with that epic men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, but Wimbledon is upon us. The lawns are perfectly manicured, the chalk lines are in place, and the players are ready to put on a show.
With the help of UTR Sports INSIGHTS, an analytics and prediction tool only available to Power subscribers, we are breaking down the women’s favorites and players to watch.
Wimbledon Women’s Favorites
Aryna Sabalenka (UTR 13.15)
Aryna Sabelenka enters SW19 as the top favorite. Her dominating power game has earned her three titles this year, and two Grand Slam finalist appearances. She’ll be hoping to match that or better this fortnight, having reached the semifinals twice. According to UTR Sports INSIGHTS, Sabalenka is an outright favorite at 20% odds of winning.

Coco Gauff (UTR 12.92)
The American is entering the field fueled by her Roland Garros title. She enjoyed her first major breakthrough at Wimbledon in 2019 at just 15 years old, so she’s certainly going to be comfortable. INSIGHTS gives Gauff 7% odds of her first Wimbledon title.

Iga Swiatek (UTR 12.95)
Despite grass not being her favorite surface, Iga Swiatek will always be a Grand Slam contender — and INSIGHTS has her at 10%, in second place behind Sabalenka. The Pole is overdue a great tournament so why not surprise everyone, and herself, on the lawns of Wimbledon.
Wimbledon Players to Watch
Marketa Vondrousova (12.75)
The 2023 Wimbledon champion is back in her finest form after more injury setbacks. Still just 25, she just won the Berlin title on grass with wins over Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur, and Wang Xinyu.
Amanda Anisimova (12.64)
The American has had a strong grass-court season, reaching the final at the Queen’s Club WTA 500 and quarterfinals in Berlin. She could be a threat to 2024 finalist Jasmine Paolini in the fourth round.
Elena Rybakina (UTR 12.74)
A Wimbledon winner in 2022, Elena Rybakina’s flat, fast game is ideally suited for grass. Though seeded No. 11, the 26-year-old has been flying under the radar. She's landed in the same section of the draw as Swiatek.
Spotlight on: UTR Pro Tennis Tour Players
Carson Branstine (11.82), a former Texas A&M standout, is into her first Grand Slam main draw after winning three qualifying matches, including over former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu. Branstine started her 2025 season playing on the UTR Pro Tennis Tour (UTR PTT), a developmental tour for aspiring pros with guaranteed matches and prize money at each $25,000 event.
Taylor Townsend (11.925) won the UTR PTT title in Bradenton on her comeback from maternity leave back in 2022. She’s since won two Grand Slam doubles titles and returns to the singles Wimbledon main draw for the first time since 2019.
Branstine and Townsend join five more UTR PTT players in the women’s draw including Iva Jovic, Katie Volynets, Yuliia Starodubtseva, Kimberly Birrell, and McCartney Kessler. Kessler is seeded No. 32, marking her first time being seeded at a major.
