Dozens of UTR Pro Tennis Tour veterans are competing in 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers all over the world this weekend in yet another example of the growing prominence of the PTT.
At least 81 current and former PTT players will compete for their countries in the opening weekend of the 2025 Davis Cup.
The list features rising ATP Tour star Alex Michelsen of the U.S. (UTR Rating 15.45), a two-time PTT champion; Sweden’s Leo Borg (UTR 13.34), son of tennis legend Bjorn Borg; and Great Britain’s Jacob Fearnley (UTR 15.19), a former PTT champion who beat Nick Kyrgios at the 2025 Australian Open.

Those three players, as well as thousands more globally, have utilized the PTT to build their tennis careers and improve their games.
The PTT’s guaranteed prize money and matchplay, the latter of which is found nowhere else in pro tennis, attracts a variety of high-level players to the tour, ranging from players starting their pro journey to those competing in Grand Slams but looking for matches and tournaments to fill their calendar.

Just last month, 49 PTT players and champions competed in the Australian Open main draw and qualifying draws.
“The PTT is the go-to tour for rising and established professional tennis players,” said James McKie, PTT Director of Player Relations. “As evident at the Australian Open and with Davis Cup, all types of high-level players are drawn to the innovative format of the PTT because it works, and, first and foremost, it serves players.”
A member of the PTT Player Relations staff also will be competing in Davis Cup: Giles Hussey will compete for Great Britain.
