The upcoming US Open Wild Card Playoffs feature many Universal Tennis Foundation Hurd Award recipients and UTR Pro Tennis Tour (UTR PTT) stars.
Taking place from June 16 to 18 in Orlando at the USTA National Campus, the new tournament will feature American collegiate talent competing for coveted 2025 US Open main draw and qualifying wild cards.

The men’s and women’s singles and doubles divisions feature four players each. Singles and doubles winners will earn US Open main draw wild cards, while the singles finalists will earn qualifying wild cards. The full player fields are below.
This year’s Hurd Award champion, Mary Stoiana, will compete alongside DJ Bennett, Valerie Glozman, and 2025 Hurd Award finalist Amelia Honer. Stoiana, a standout at Texas A&M, won two UTR Pro Tennis Tour titles in 2022 and led the Aggies to the 2024 NCAA trophy.

The men’s field features Ozan Baris, Stefan Dostanic, Michael Zheng, and Aidan Kim. Zheng competed on the UTR PTT in New York before committing to play college tennis at Columbia. He won the NCAA singles championship in 2024. Kim picked up his first pro title on the UTR PTT in Ann Arbor in 2022 before starting his college career.

The Hurd Awards, annual grants made possible by the generosity of the Hurd family, support American players transitioning from college to international competition.
