It was an exciting year on the WTA Tour, with several stars stepping into the limelight at different points of 2024 and enticing rivalries both developing and deepening.
Zheng Qinwen and Coco Gauff, who dueled for the WTA Finals title, are among the top of the class on the UTR Ratings, alongside Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, who had their own intense battles this season.
Here is the complete year-end list of the 2024 Top 10 women’s players by UTR Rating:
Iga Swiatek – UTR 12.96
Securing her place as the queen of Roland Garros even further this year, Iga Swiatek won her third consecutive and fourth overall title in Paris, on the heels of winning both the clay WTA 1000 titles in Madrid and Rome as well. Back on the clay courts of Paris later in the summer, she also secured the Olympic bronze medal.
Zheng Qinwen – UTR 12.95
From start to finish, it was a spectacular 2024 for Zheng Qinwen, who entered the WTA Top 5 for the first time this year. Runner-up at both the Australian Open and WTA Finals, Zheng claimed three titles in between – including the Olympic gold medal.
Coco Gauff – UTR 12.95
Coco Gauff closed out her 2024 with a remarkable run to the WTA Finals championship trophy. That victory was her biggest result on the year, alongside the WTA 1000 Beijing title and semifinal appearances at both the Australian Open and French Open.

Aryna Sabalenka – UTR 12.93
The season-ending world No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka took two of the year’s Slam titles – the Australian Open and US Open – in addition to winning two other big hard-court titles at the WTA 1000 tournaments in Wuhan and Cincinnati. She’s definitely not a one-surface wonder – she also made both the Madrid and Rome finals.
Elena Rybakina – UTR 12.90
Even though injury hampered the end of Elena Rybakina’s season – she didn’t play between the US Open and WTA Finals – the former Wimbledon champion still had a successful 2024. She claimed two WTA 500-level titles at Abu Dhabi and Stuttgart, was runner-up at the WTA 1000 events in Doha and Miami, and reached the Wimbledon semifinals.
Paula Badosa – UTR 12.85
This was Paula Badosa’s comeback season after missing much of 2023 due to injury, and the former WTA world No. 2 certainly rounded into form as the year went on. Dropping outside the WTA Top 100 in May, results like winning the Washington title (a WTA 500 event), making the Cincinnati and Beijing semifinals, and US Open quarterfinals bumped her all the way up to the cusp of the WTA Top 10 and well inside the Top 10 by UTR Ratings.
Karolina Muchova – UTR 12.80
A US Open semifinalist this year, Karolina Muchova is the lowest-ranked member of the UTR Ratings Top 10 at world No. 22. Muchova’s 2024 didn’t start until June, however, when she returned from a nine-month absence due to injury. She made up for lost time, though, as alongside her US Open run, she was runner-up in Palermo and Beijing.
Emma Navarro – UTR 12.78
Prior to this year, Emma Navarro had never advanced past the second round of a major, but in 2024, she bested herself with each passing Slam. She reached the third round at the Australian Open, followed by the fourth round in Paris, quarterfinals at Wimbledon, and the semifinals at the US Open. One of the year’s biggest breakout stars, Navarro is now firmly inside the WTA Top 10.
