In 2023, UTR Sports introduced the new UTR-P Rating, also known as the UTR Pickleball Rating. The UTR Sports Platform has always been anchored by the UTR Rating, the world’s most accurate tennis rating system and the gold standard for college tennis recruitment in the United States.
What is the UTR-P Rating?
The UTR-P Rating comes in two forms: 1) a numerical rating backed by match history and 2) a provisional rating based on a questionnaire. If you're new to pickleball, you will receive a provisional rating (P1-P5) based on your questionnaire results. After a few matches, your rating will convert to a reliable decimal rating (1.0 - 10.0).
