On Saturday, Barbora Krejcikova will add to her double-digit Grand Slam title haul, or Italy’s Jasmine Paolini will win her first major championship.
UTR Sports INSIGHTS helps us preview the Wimbledon 2024 women’s singles final.
(31) Barbora Krejcikova (UTR Rating 12.40) vs. (7) Jasmine Paolini (12.74)
Saturday’s final will mark their first tour-level match, although Krejcikova won their 2018 qualifying contest at the Australian Open. But much has changed in the past six years.
Czech Republic’s Krejcikova won the 2021 Roland Garros women’s singles title for her first major championship crown and has shown, with a final showing at SW19, that she’s here to stay at major championships.
She’s looking to add her 12th major championship title: one in singles, seven in women’s doubles, and three mixed doubles.

Krejcikova, 28, upset 2022 Wimbledon champion and fourth seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the semifinals to reach her second major championship singles final.
With that three-set win, she improved to 1-1 against Top 10 players in 2024: she lost to No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka in the Australian Open quarterfinals.
Paolini hasn’t been a Top 10 player for long but she has certainly played like one the past few months.
At the age of 28, she reached her first major championship final at Roland Garros last month before losing to Poland’s Iga Swiatek.
All she’s done at the most prestigious Grand Slam tennis tournament in the world is back it up with another final run.
The always-smiling Paolini is the first Italian woman to reach the Wimbledon final in the Open era.
She’s also the first player since Serena Williams in 2016 to reach the women’s singles final at Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year.
Absolutely fantastic!!! I'm so happy with this win. I will remember this match forever! It was a roller coaster. Thank you for cheering for me!! 🇮🇹😀@Wimbledon 📷: ITF pic.twitter.com/bDLG59MMA3

Before Roland Garros, Paolini hadn’t made a Grand Slam quarterfinal, and before this year’s grass-court season, she hadn’t won a tour-level match on the surface (was 0-12).
But everything has changed for Paolini in 2024.
Will the biggest change to her tennis life happen on Saturday? UTR Sports INSIGHTS says yes.
INSIGHTS has the Italian as a 68% favorite to win the Wimbledon women’s singles title and show her biggest smile yet.
