Today, the Mouratoglou Academy and Universal Tennis announced a new partnership under which the Academy will use the innovative UTR tools and technology to enhance its world class tennis training program to support the growth and development of aspiring professional tennis players.
Mouratoglou Academy will leverage the UTR Platform to enhance player development, drive further engagement across its tennis programming, and organize fun and flexible level-based UTR Events, with the results counting for player UTRs. The Academy is adopting UTR Powered by Oracle, the world’s most accurate tennis rating system which measures all players regardless of age or gender on the same scale, as its official player rating system.
Patrick Mouratoglou, Founder and President of the Mouratoglou Academy said, “Our dedicated coaches and staff are the heart of our highly personalized program and we strive to give them the premier tools and technology to effectively develop our players. UTR is by far the best way to measure player skill level and track player progress. It will enhance our coaches ability to create bespoke training programs for all players who attend the Academy. The UTR Platform enables us to reach UTR’s global tennis community to showcase Mouratoglou Academy, connect with prospective players and run creative events. We look forward to working with UTR to create compelling events and initiatives to develop the next generation of tennis players.”
For over two decades, Mouratoglou Academy has provided world-class tennis training programs to players of all ages and skill levels. Founded in 1996 by Patrick Mouratoglou, one of the most influential coaches in tennis and current coach of 23x Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, the Academy focuses on highly personalized methodology and bespoke training programs for each player. Ambassadors include Stefanos Tsitsipas, Coco Gauff, and Serena Williams, among many others.
“We are excited that Mouratoglou Academy is integrating the UTR Platform into their world-class tennis program,” said Mark Leschly, Universal Tennis Chairman & CEO. “Building on the world-class UTR Powered by Oracle rating system, Universal Tennis has developed a comprehensive set of software products to help every facet of tennis, and we are excited to enable our technology to enhance the experience for players, coaches and professionals at the Academy.”
