October Club Spotlight: UTR Sports

2 minute read

UTR Rating events were hosted all over the country thanks to Universal Tennis providers creating events and matchplay opportunities. Universal Tennis is recognizing the club, event, and newcomer for October.

Club of the Month: Universal Tennis Academy (Atlanta, Georgia)

Spread out across 14 locations and 130 courts throughout Atlanta, the Universal Tennis Academy hosted eight events in October, attracting nearly 350 players to compete. The Academy is one of the first-ever Universal Tennis Digital Clubs, boasting over 3,000 members. While the Academy has hosted 1,250 Universal Tennis events, the events in October were all Junior Circuits.

Junior Circuits are level-based events for young players with a UTR rating from 1-6.99 (split across three divisions). Players that play in two Junior Circuits per season are eligible to participate in the Junior Circuits District Championships.

The draws boasted a total of 102 players, with 50 competing in the Singles Level A event (the winner took home $1,300).
