Open, tiered prize money events will be hosted on college campuses all over the country for college, juniors, and adult players to get more quality match play opportunities
Palo Alto, CA - Universal Tennis has created College Circuits to attract the best players around the country and provide college and junior players with more opportunities to play competitive matches throughout the year.
“Open” means that anyone can play, including aspiring and active college players, high-level juniors, and adults. Players will be accepted based on UTR Rating, and there are no age restrictions.
College Circuits events are prize money tournaments that use a tier system, which will encourage players to sign up as early as possible to increase the amount of prize money and the level of the event. Prize money is only guaranteed if the number of registered players meets the prize money tier qualifications below.
PRIZE MONEY TIERS
- Tier 3: 96-127 Players = $2,000*
- Tier 2: 64-95 Players = $1,500
- Tier 1: 32-63 Players = $1,000
- Base: 0-31 Players = $0
*Depending on the maximum number of players the tournament accepts per division, there will be $500 dollars added for every additional 32 players after Tier 3.
Universities and colleges all across the United States will be hosting College Circuits throughout the fall season, with the first events being held in August.
Players are encouraged to sign up early to boost the tier of the event with no risk, thanks to a refund policy that allows players to withdraw before the event’s registration deadline.
