UTR Match of the Week: A Battle for the Ages
We were so excited to hear about these highlights from a recent UTR Powered Event at JTCC in College Park, Maryland for 6.0 - 6.99 UTR players. Because UTR Powered Events are organized by skill level, not gender or age, 10-year old Zen Uehling faced off against 57- year old James Senker in a tight semi-final match. Zen prevailed with a win (and a $100 prize)!
Gordon Uehling, Zen’s Dad and owner of CourtSense said:
“My 10 year old boy Zen Uehling (6.73 UTR) just played an experienced, tricky and competitive 57 year old man in a 6.0-6.99 UTR rated tournament. He challenged Zen in ways no junior could challenge him because of his height and unique style of play. I know for a fact that this experience and all future experiences UTR provides will directly impact Zen’s development as a tennis player giving him the best opportunity to achieve his dreams of becoming a true champion. Thank you for creating the first truly disruptive platform that will change the game of tennis forever!”
